People Prof. Dr. Stefan Kirsch

Prof. Dr. Stefan Kirsch enjoys an excellent reputation in advising and defending companies and individuals in all areas of white-collar criminal law.

He also has more than twenty years of experience in appellate proceedings and international criminal law. He has appeared as defence counsel in three proceedings before the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague and in another proceeding before the Rwanda Criminal Tribunal (RCC) in Arusha. In addition to the noticeable areas of white-collar criminal law such as fraud, breach of trust and corruption, his areas of practice include complex proceedings from a wide variety of areas of ancillary criminal law.

Prof. Dr Kirsch has been recommended by prestigious market surveys (Legal 500, Handelsblatt, WirtschaftsWoche, Whoiswholegal, etc.) for many years.

After completing his studies in Frankfurt am Main and Lausanne, Prof. Dr. Kirsch worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Criminal Sciences at Goethe University in Frankfurt before being admitted to the bar in 1997.

Prof. Dr. Kirsch is an honorary professor at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and a member of the Criminal Law Committee of the German Bar Association. In addition to regular publications and lectures, he has served as an expert witness on several occasions in projects of, among others, the Human Rights Institute (HRI) of the International Bar Association and the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), and is a member of the advisory board of the "International Criminal Law Review".
